I started working for Awelon Healthcare on the 1st of February and was appointed the manager of the home. I was welcomed very warmly by Kay Campbell who not only owns the company but is very hands on and supportive. The company is a friendly, warm with a real sense of fun, it feels more like a family than a workplace. Every day is different and exciting. I love my job!
I started in Feb 23 and was a little hesitant starting with a small company after leaving a large healthcare sector company who I was employed for over twelve years.
My reservations have been laid to rest, I have found since starting with Awelon Health Care they are a person centred organisation who ensure staff and individuals they support are a priority. Their ethos of providing a “family environment” is so refreshing, I’m looking forward to an exciting adventure and future with Awelon.
I started working at Awelon Healthcare at the beginning of March, I completed training and was given an induction into the home. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I met the residents and read their care plans and they were very informative. I am thoroughly enjoying my role and In my first month I was awarded employee of the month. I was given a generous gift, but what was more important, is that I felt appreciated and a valued member of the team.
I enjoy every part of my job but what I enjoy the most is taking the residents out on activities and seeing how happy they are.
